Important Notes:

Please note that this technology is a SOFTWARE and not just an electronic device like a radio or other hardware in your vehicle. For the system to properly alert there has to be 1-reliable internet connectivity in order to be connected to the web portal where all the analytics take place. Periodically check that the USB device is lit and the PA icon at the bottom right of the screen indicates device connected, 2- The system has to have a GPS signal to know your location to determine who needs to be alerted. Periodically glance at the display for “System Ready”, “Device Connected”, “GPS Connected” and “On Patrol”

The proper way to exit the software at the end of a shift (before turning off the computer) is to click the up arrow in the bottom tray, right-click on the PA icon and click exit. This ends the shift in the portal and ensures the software will load properly on the next computer restart.

To restart the software if there are any issues as in the example to the left where the GPS is not connected, simply follow the procedure to exit the program and re-load by double-clicking the ((PA)) icon on the desktop  The software should reload in a matter of seconds.

TIP: There have been hundreds of collisions involving innocent motorist and fleeing vehicles AFTER the pursuit has been terminated by the officer. Depending on department policy,  Digital Siren can remain activated for a minute or so AFTER the pursuit has been terminated and lights and siren have been turned off, to continue to alert the public within the alert area to be aware a fleeing vehicle may be in the area.
